Learn to Paint with Donna Roskamp

Donna Roskamp has always had a passion for art. She dreamed of being able to paint. Like most she didn’t think she had the talent. After years of dreaming Donna took control of her future and made a change.

Today Donna is an Award Winning Decorative Painting Artist, Instructor and Designer. She is also a wife and mother of four and Olivia’s Grandma. She and her family live in Howell, Michigan where she has a studio in her home and teaches for several other locations. Donna is an Elite One Stroke Instructor and also a Level II, High Definition and Clay Specialist with Donna Dewberry. She has won several awards through One Stroke and assisted in teaching at certifications. She was also asked to help test market and launch Donna Dewberry’s Crafty Wave Program.

Donna is also a Hauser Accredited Instructor in Level I &II, Priscilla’s Roses and Zhostovo Russian Painting. In 2010 Donna had the privilege of assisting Priscilla Hauser at the Heart of Ohio Tole Convention. (H.O.O.T.) The experience gave her the courage to submit to teach her own class at the conference. Her project was accepted and she will be teaching at the 2011 convention.

For students that want more than just Tole painting, classes are also available in oil painting, drawing. Children can learn how to draw and paint in watercolor. Donna’s first love is teaching others to paint. For those who find it difficult to take classes due to time or finances she is now creating her own Pattern Packets and Learn to Paint videos.

Achievements and Awards

March 2004 Donna set a goal to learn to paint. She began by taking classes for One-Stroke Painting. After only three classes she was selling her work and painting walls for others.
December 2004 Donna began teaching OS at the Brighton Michael’s.
March 2005 Donna became a One-Stroke Certified Instructor.
April 2005 Began teaching as her full time career.
July 2005 Donna won two awards as an In-Home Art teacher and two as a certified instructor.
August 2005 Donna became the #1 Michael’s Instructor in her district and remained so for three years until classes were discontinued.
June 2006 Donna became the #1 In Home Art Instructor in the Nation, winning awards and her photo in the new catalog.
July 2006 Donna won awards for “Most Students Taught” in non retail locations and the prestigious award of “Most Students Taught” with 2,335 students in twelve months!
February 2007 Donna became one of the first instructor’s to complete the Level II Certification.
March 2007 Donna became #5 of over 900 instructors for Michael’s.
March 2007 Donna began assisting at the OSCI certifications.
March 2008 Donna became one of the first HD Specialists in the Nation. She is the only HD Specialist in Michigan.
July 2007 Donna won awards for “Most Students Taught” in non retail locations and the prestigious award of “Most Students Taught” making her the #1 Instructor in the Nation for the 2nd year in a row!
July 2008 Earned Elite Status, won award for Most Students Taught in Non Retail locations. Donna is one of only two Elites in Michigan.
July 2009 Certified Level I & Level II by Priscilla Hauser in a private certification.
July 2009 Assisted Donna Dewberry in testing and launching Crafty Wave.
August 2010 Assisted Priscilla Hauser teaching at the HOOT in Columbus, Ohio.
August 2010 Hauser Accredited Level I & II, Roses and Zhostovo Russian Painting.
